David was born in 1995, in Braga, Portugal.

David Tiago is an independent photographer focused on inspirational stories, social injustice and human rights issues.

​

He studied photography at, IPF, Portuguese Institute of Photography,

located in Porto, Portugal. 

In 2021 he began working in the world of photojournalism as a freelance photographer with Global Imagens, which owns newspapers such as

Jornal de Notícias, Diário de Notícias, Revista Magazine, among others...

​

His first project “Invictus” won in the sports category of the

Estação Imagem Coimbra Prize in 2022.

​

At the moment he continues his journey in search of new stories to tell.
